Report on CIA interrogations raises threat to US
There are fears that the publication of a Senate report on CIA interrogation methods could trigger an attack on the US.
The American government has tightened security at its military bases and embassies around the world.
The report is expected to reveal damning information about the way the CIA interrogated al-Qaeda suspects in the aftermath of the September 11 attacks.
