NYPD officers: Killings condemned as an 'attack on society'

The assassination of the two NYPD officers on Saturday have been called an 'attack on society'.

Liu Wenjin and Raphael Ramos were shot as they sat in their patrol car in Brooklyn by Ismaaiyl Brinsley, 28, who shot himself after fleeing the scene.

He had posted his intentions on social media to kill police officers in retaliation for the the high profile deaths of Michael Brown and Eric Garner .

Civil right leader, Reverend Al Sharpton, condemned the act calling it 'reprehensible'.
