NYPD officers pay respects to Wenjian Liu

Thousands of police officers have gathered in New York to pay their respects to one of their colleagues who was shot dead two weeks ago.

Wenjian Liu and his partner Rafael Ramos were apparently killed in retaliation for the deaths of unarmed black men at the hands of white police officers.

The incident has also highlighted strained relations between the police and the Mayor's office.

Nick Childs reports.
