New York mayor defends decision to shut down city for storm
The mayor of New York, Bill de Blasio, has been defending the drastic measures he took to prepare the city for the snowstorm.
A travel ban was put in place on Monday and schools and businesses were closed after warnings that the city could be hit by a major winter storm.
But the blizzard appeared less severe than expected in the city and the transport ban was lifted in Tuesday.
Mayor de Blasio said he had to take precautions and it was a "no brainer".
