Kayla Mueller 'dedicated her life to others'

The US has confirmed the death of aid worker Kayla Mueller, who had been held hostage by Islamic State (IS) militants in Syria.

Ms Mueller, 26, was abducted in Aleppo in 2013.

White House spokesman Josh Earnest said that she had "dedicated her life to serving others... who were relying on the generosity and kindness of fellow human beings to try and meet their needs".
