Carly Fiorina launches Republican 2016 presidential bid

US businesswoman Carly Fiorina has announced her bid to win the Republican presidential nomination for the 2016 US presidential election.

Ms Fiorina who has never held public office, was once one of the most powerful women in corporate America as CEO of Hewlett-Packard.

She faces strong competition from seasoned politicians like former Florida Governor Jeb Bush and Texas Senator Ted Cruz.
