Zika virus: US officials say outbreak 'scarier than thought'

New research on the Zika virus is "not reassuring" and the outbreak is "scarier" than first thought, US public health officials have admitted.

Dr Anne Schuchat of the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said the mosquitoes that carry the virus could travel to more US states than previously thought and wider range of health issues have been linked to the virus.
