Invictus athlete: Sport vital to recovery

Lt Kirsty Wallace won gold as part of the British Armed Forces wheelchair basketball team at the inaugural Invictus Games in 2014.

The event was spear-headed by Prince Harry, who drew on his own military experience to establish an athletic competition for wounded veterans and service members.

Lt Wallace feared she would be paralysed when she broke her back in a training accident in 2007. From this year's event in Orlando, Florida, she tells the BBC how it has helped her rehabilitation.

Filmed by Allen McGreevy. Produced by Ashley Semler.
