Fort McMurray firefighter: 'The fire cascaded down the hill'

It has been more than a week since wildfires broke out in the Fort McMurray area of Alberta, Canada.

Hundreds of firefighters are still battling the flames, but others have been allowed to take their first breaks.

Nick Waddington is a fire captain in Fort McMurray who was evacuated.

He was recently reunited with his family and is living with his parents until he is allowed back home.

Mr Waddington tells the BBC's Rajini Vaidyanathan what it was like to fight the biggest fire of his lifetime.

Filmed and edited by Anna Bressanin.
