Transgender toilet use: US schools 'must respect gender ID'
Schools in the US have been told by the federal government they must allow transgender students to use the toilet that matches their chosen gender identity.
The US attorney general said schools may face lawsuits or lose out on state funding if they do not comply.
It is the latest move in a battle over gay, lesbian and transgender rights.
