Orlando shootings: Afghan background not an issue - Karzai

The Orlando gunman's Afghan background had no influence on his actions, according to the country's former president.

Hamid Karzai was in the US when the attack took place, and told BBC News that violent radicalisation was a "universal problem", not limited to Islam or the Middle East.
