Dallas shooting: Police 'shocked attack was here'

Police in Dallas have spoken of their shock that the killing of officers took place in their city. Five police officers were shot dead by a black man, Micah Johnson, who was angered by fatal police shootings of African-Americans.

Michael Mata, vice-president of the Dallas Police Association, told the BBC's Laura Bicker that police had worked closely with the community to ease tension.
