Trump transgender policy dismays inauguration singer

Jackie Evancho, who performed the US national anthem during the inauguration of President Donald Trump, is not happy with his decision to remove federal protection for transgender public school students.

The America's Got Talent contestant wrote on Twitter just after Trump announced his policy: "I am obviously disappointed in the @POTUS decision to send the #transgender bathroom issue to the states to decide. #sisterlove"

She and her transgender sister, Juliet, spoke to ABC News about the challenges faced by transgender students, especially when deciding on which bathroom they should use.
