Confederate statue pulled down in North Carolina

A monument to pro-slavery forces has been destroyed, in the wake of clashes in Charlottesville. The Durham County sheriff said he would seek vandalism charges against those involved.

It came as the mayors of Baltimore, Maryland, and Lexington, Kentucky, announced plans to remove Confederate monuments in their cities.
