A Mexican satirist is a hit on YouTube - but not everything is fair game.

During decades of one-party rule in Mexico, criticising the government on TV was taboo. Fifteen years after politics opened up in the country, political satire has a new champion online. Inspired by his hero Jon Stewart, Chumel Torres is making up for lost time with his satirical YouTube channel Pulse of the Republic, which is watched by more than a million subscribers.

But in a country where a violent drug war makes journalism a high-risk job, there are subjects even he won't touch.
