Malaysia second quarter growth slows yet remains robust

Malaysia has become the latest Asian economy to report that its pace of recovery moderated between April and June.

The economy expanded at its fastest speed in a decade in the first quarter with GDP accelerating at an annualised 10.1 per cent rate.

This has slowed to a still impressive 8.9% for the second quarter. Exports have been the main driver of growth.
