Malaysian maids in short supply

Help

Malaysia is facing a shortage of maids because of Indonesia's continued ban.

The Indonesian government stopped its domestic helpers from entering Malaysia in 2009, after a string of abuse cases were reported.

Officials from both sides have signed a deal to improve working conditions, but after another round of meetings this week, the ban remains in place.
