Tesco apologises for horsemeat burgers

Supermarket chain Tesco has apologised after horsemeat DNA was found in some beefburgers on sale in some supermarkets in the UK and Ireland.

Technical director for Tesco Tim Smith said that an urgent investigation is under way and that products had been withdrawn from sale as a precautionary measure.
