The government in Singapore is due to announce the budget for the coming year later on Monday.

The budget comes amid rising cost of living in the city-state and amid calls from some quarters to limit the flow of foreign workers into the country.

Taimur Baig, Chief Economist at Deutsche Bank told the BBC that businesses and households are likely to be given some help in this budget.
