Why internet speed varies globally?


The internet is a tool many of us have come to rely on - for information, for work, and for entertainment.

But its effectiveness is linked intrinsically to its speed.

Internet specialist Geoff Huston explained to the BBC's Asia Business Report why some developed countries such as Australia have much slower internet speeds compared with cities such as Hong Kong or Singapore.
