Jaguar Land Rover has announced it is doubling the number of jobs in the West Midlands to almost 1,400 with £500m in investment money.

The Indian-owned group sold nearly 360,000 vehicles in 2012.

Phil Popham, director of group sales operations at Jaguar Land Rover, told BBC Radio 5 live's Breakfast about the plans for hundreds of new jobs and made assurances that UK jobs would not be threatened by work sourced in India.
