Japan's earnings season continues on Tuesday with Sharp expected to reveal further losses.

The country's leading maker of liquid crystal displays, or LCDs, has seen sales tumble as consumers flock to cheaper rivals.

More details about the company's restructuring are expected to be announced. South Korea's Samsung has taken a small investment stake in Sharp, but there is talk that the tie-up could become even closer.

The BBC's Ali Moore reports.
