Fed chairman says QE to continue

Chairman of the US Federal Reserve, Ben Bernanke said that QE will continue due to above-target unemployment and cutbacks in government spending.

His comments on Wednesday were during a question and answer session at the National Bureau of Economic Research in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

He said: "highly accommodative monetary policy for the foreseeable futures is what is needed for the US economy."
