Japanese cosmetics giant Kanebo has apologised after more than 4,000 customers across Asia complained of developing patches on their skin after using its lightening products.
The company recalled 54 of its products in July over health fears and says it is investigating the claims.
Some patients have been told that the patches could prove difficult to remove.
