Vistajet boss: Owning private jet no longer appropriate

9 September 2013 Last updated at 16:45 BST

Private jet operator Vistajet has announced an expansion in the US market.

Speaking to BBC World, the company's founder and chairman, Thomas Flohr, gave more details of the move.

"The US is by far the biggest market - that was the missing link in the Vistajet worldwide network."

"A lot of the US corporations have realised that owning a jet, or a fraction of a jet, might not be the best economic solution. It's not really appropriate any more to own your own business jet."
