Malaysia set to begin trading gold futures

Malaysia is set to begin trading gold futures on Monday.

Futures contracts are attractive to small-scale investors because they allow them to bet on the future price of gold without actually having to buy the metal itself.

They can also protect investors from wild swings in prices.

And as Leisha Chi reports, exchanges in the region are using them to tap into the rising demand for gold in Asia.
