Is Yahoo boss Marissa Mayer responsible for growth?

Internet giant Yahoo reported a 5% fall in sales in the third quarter.

The company sold fewer display adverts and the prices for internet advertising also fell.

But despite that shaky performance Yahoo shares have surged since Marissa Mayer took over as chief executive 15 months ago.
