The search for the first Google of the Middle East

Nokia's decision to launch its latest tech gadgets in Abu Dhabi - its first such event in the Middle East - is a sign that the region is of growing interest to international technology firms.

Authorities are also trying to boost innovation in the region and start-up incubators are mushrooming with the aim of finding the first Google of the Middle East.

But do they have what it takes? Jonathan Frewin reports.
