Which? calls on banks to cut phone charges

Banks are being urged to cut their customer phone charges after the consumer group Which? found that almost three quarters of phone lines were high rate numbers.

An EU Directive banning the use of expensive numbers for customer help lines comes into force next year, but financial firms are currently excluded.
