BA profits 'increased significantly' in 2013

28 February 2014 Last updated at 11:28 GMT

IAG bounced back into profit in 2013, fuelled by the performance of British Airways and Spanish budget airline Vueling.

The group posted a profit of 527m euros (£434m) in 2013, compared with losses of 613m euros (£506m) the previous year.

Speaking to the Today programme, group chief executive Willie Walsh said that although Iberia reported a loss in 2013, BA profits had "increased significantly" as a result of the group owning the Spanish airline alongside it.

First broadcast on BBC Radio 4's Today programme on Friday 28 February.
