Budget-conscious shoppers in London are facing a greater choice with the arrival of Dutch retailer Hema's first UK branch.

With its combination of relatively low prices and distinctive designs, Hema is hoping to compete with the Swedish retailer Ikea for the price-conscious consumer's pound.

Their flagship shop will be based in London's Victoria with other stores set to follow.

Anna Holligan visited the Hema store in Rotterdam to see what UK consumers can expect.
