India's new government to present first budget

India's new government headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi will present its first budget on Thursday.

A key part of Mr Modi's election campaign was a promise to boost growth and create jobs in Asia's third-largest economy.

But his government has inherited high inflation and a sharp slowdown in growth.

India business reporter Shilpa Kannan takes a look at what measures might be included in the budget announcement to reverse that.
