US shares rise despite Greek concerns

(Close): US stock markets ended the day higher despite continuing concerns over the debt situation in Greece.

The Dow Jones gained 139.55 points to close at 17,868.76.

The broader S&P 500 rose 21.85 points to 2,068.59 and the tech-focused Nasdaq added 61.63 points to finish at 4,787.65.

Apple shares rose 1.92%, leading the tech giant to become the first company ever to be worth more than $700bn.

Shares in Coca-Cola also rose nearly 3%, after the beverage giant reported better than expected fourth quarter profits of $770m on higher than expected North American sales.
