US stocks end mixed as Greek woes continue to weigh

(Close): US stock markets close mixed on Wednesday, as investors continue to weigh news coming out of Europe.

After a day of volatile trading, the Dow Jones shed 6.62 points to close at 17,862.14.

The broader S&P 500 was barely changed, falling 0.06 points to 2,068.53, and the tech-focused Nasdaq added 13.54 points to finish at 4,801.18.

The price of Brent crude oil fell 2.5% to $55.03 a barrel, while US crude dropped 2.1% to $49.33.

The day's biggest winner was Goldman Sachs, which saw its share price rise by 1.67% after analysts at Deutsche Bank released a favourable report on the bank's share price.
