Elections 2015: Voting under way in Bristol area

Voting is under way as polling stations across the greater Bristol area open for the general and local elections.

In Bristol, Bath and Weston-super-Mare people in 11 parliamentary constituencies will choose who they want to represent them at Westminster.

Local elections are also taking place in Bath and North East Somerset, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire, and a third of councillors on Bristol city.

Voting takes place from 07:00 BST to 22:00 BST.

Results for the general election are expected to be declared in the early hours of Friday with the local results revealed later in the day.
