Elections 2015: Voting under way in Somerset

Voting is under way as polling stations across Somerset open for the general and local elections.

People in nine parliamentary constituencies will choose who they want to represent them at Westminster.

Local elections are also taking place in Mendip, Sedgemoor, Taunton Deane, West Somerset, South Somerset, Bath and North East Somerset, and North Somerset

Voting takes place from 07:00 BST to 22:00 BST.

Results for the general election are expected to be declared in the early hours of Friday with the local results revealed later in the day.
