Robert Redford receives French honour


Robert Redford has received France's prestigious Legion of Honour, in a ceremony conducted by President Nicolas Sarkozy at the Elysee Palace in Paris.

The 74-year-old actor and director was awarded the medal for his his film career and environmental work.

Previous recipients include Clint Eastwood and Canadian director David Cronenberg.
