Comediennes Jo Brand and Isy Suttie have been added to the bill of a one-off charity stage show, which is being screened live in selected cinemas.

The gig will also see Victoria Wood return to stand-up for the first time in nearly 10 years.

The Angina Monologues takes place at London's Theatre Royal Haymarket in aid of the British Heart Foundation.

The BHF wants to raise awareness of heart disease, which kills three times more women than breast cancer.

"Like most women, I thought heart disease was something that only affected men, like nose hair and not washing big dirty pans," Wood said.

"The Angina Monologues will bring together our most fantastically funny women for a night of stand up, sketches and music. We all need a bit of hearty laughter."

Andi Osho will also perform a stand-up sketch on the night, which has sold out at the theatre.

British Heart Foundation nurse June Davison said: "We hope the Angina Monologues will get women thinking about their heart health - currently too many think heart disease only affects middle-aged overweight men but this simply isn't the case."
