A second person has died after attending the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival, officials have announced.

Christopher William Yoder, 24, died of hyperthermia on Sunday after being airlifted from the event to a hospital in nearby Chattanooga.

In a statement organisers for the Tennessee event said: "The safety of our patrons is our number one concern, and we are deeply saddened by this."

On Thursday, the body of a 32-year-old woman was found at the festival.

A post-mortem on the woman, who was found in a tent on the festival site, is set to take place.

It is estimated that 80,000 people attended the 10th annual festival, which took place at the Great Stage Park.
