AS Byatt's 'glee' as Norse gods died

Help

AS Byatt has been describing what motivated her to write Ragnarok, a novel about the Norse myths.

She said that as a child she had felt a sort of glee when reading how all the gods died at the end of a book.

The author was talking to the BBC's Nick Higham at the Cheltenham Literary Festival.
