Just William up for three Children's Baftas

CBBC drama Just William has picked up three nominations at this year's Children's Baftas.

The comedy, based on the novels by Richmal Crompton, is up for best drama while its star Daniel Roche and writer Simon Nye are also nominated.

Horrible Histories is also up for four awards including best comedy and best performer for Martha Howe-Douglas.

The prizes will be handed out at a London ceremony on 27 November, hosted by Blue Peter presenter Barney Harwood.

The awards celebrate the best in children's media including television, film, video games and online content.

Jamie Oliver is nominated in the learning - secondary category for his Channel 4 show Jamie's Dream School.

Meanwhile, Channel 5 animation Peppa Pig will compete against Little Princess and CBeebies shows Rastamouse and Octonauts to be named best pre-school animation.

And in the feature film category Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Parts 1 and 2 have both been nominated alongside Kung Fu Panda 2 and Disney hit Tangled.

This year's awards also offers four prizes voted for by children aged between seven and 14 years in film, television programme, website and video game categories.
