The Big Picture: Richard III bows out

Actor Mark Rylance has completed his run as King Richard III at London's Apollo Theatre, days after a university study confirmed that a skeleton found beneath a Leicester car park was that of the English king. Based on the real-life monarch, Shakespeare’s Richard III was a scheming, Machiavellian hunchback who murdered anyone who stood between him and the crown. Experts from the University of Leicester said DNA from the bones matched that of descendants of the monarch's family.
