McCoy's crisps recalled due to plastic

KP Snacks - the maker of McCoy's crisps - has recalled some multipacks of the snacks after small pieces of plastic were found in packets.

Six-packs of salt and malt vinegar, and cheddar and onion, as well as six-packs and 15-packs of "the classics" - all with a best-before date of 15 June and code 3066 - have been recalled.

KP apologised "for any inconvenience caused by this voluntary recall".

Affected products should be returned unopened for a refund, it said.

"KP Snacks Limited regrets to announce that it has received a small number of complaints from consumers regarding small pieces of plastic in four varieties of McCoy's multipacks," the company said in a statement.

"As a precautionary measure, KP Snacks has initiated a voluntary recall of these varieties."
