The shocking secret behind Miss Emerald's success


Dutch jazz singer Caro Emerald achieved her first British number one album on Sunday; The Shocking Miss Emerald.

Emerald's previous album, Deleted Scenes From The Cutting Room, is also in the charts at number 40.

The album was created by Emerald's own label Grandmono. Emerald whose real name is Caroline Esmeralda van der Leeuw, told BBC Breakfast why she wanted to release her music on her own terms.
