Obituary: Broadcaster Alan Whicker has died at the age of 87

Broadcaster Alan Whicker has died at the age of 87.

In a career which stretched nearly 60 years, he was best known for his travel journalism and the TV programme Whicker's World.

He died at his home in Jersey after suffering from bronchial pneumonia.
