17 October 2013 Last updated at 11:27 BST

He sang some of the 80s' biggest ballads, but Michael Bolton is looking to the music of the 60s for his latest album.

Ain't No Mountain High Enough is also entitled A Tribute to Hitsville U.S.A, after the building where Motown's famous recording studios were once housed in Detroit.

Michael spoke to BBC Breakfast about how the famous record company has influenced his career.
