Sofia Gubaidulina: The Soviet Union's outlawed composer

Sofia Gubaidulina is one of the most highly-rated living composers of classical music in the world.

She is also one of the few women to have achieved such status.

Now, at the age of 82, she is the only remaining survivor of the three composers whose works were outlawed by the Soviet regime.
