Honorary Oscars for Jolie, Lansbury and Martin

Angelina Jolie, Steve Martin and Angela Lansbury have all received honorary Oscars at the Governors Awards ceremony in Hollywood.

Ms Jolie received the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award and praised her husband Brad Pitt and her children in her acceptance speech.

Comedian Steve Martin told the audience: "I can't possibly express how I excited I am tonight, because the Botox is fresh."

Angela Lansbury, 88, the British-born actress was also honoured. She is best known for her role as amateur detective and mystery writer Jessica Fletcher in the TV series "Murder, She Wrote."
