14 July 2014 Last updated at 13:47 BST

When Jess Simpson bought a house in London nearly ten years ago she was told that a painting on the wallpaper was by Damian Hirst.

She decided to frame it and now she wants to sell it. She and the BBC's arts editor Will Gompertz explain why Mr Hirst's representatives are demanding that the piece is not sold.

First broadcast on BBC Radio 4's Today programme on Monday 14 July.
