Japanese art projected onto human faces

29 August 2014 Last updated at 17:49 BST

Japanese artist Nobumichi Asai has created a new work that involves projecting his designs onto a human face.

Using computer technology Asai was able to map the model's face and create a three dimensional mask.

The team drew inspiration from the use of masks in traditional Japanese culture.

Asai is now looking at ways of developing his projections so that they cover the whole body.
